If you spend any time using Google Adwords, either for your own business or managing client accounts you should be using Google Adwords Editor.

It is a time saver people, trust me on this one. It will take you a little while to get familiar with the user interface, but when you do…BAM! You will love it!

Hence, why today I felt like Tiger Woods when his secret hit the media, yes, I felt like my world was exploding and was dragged to my knees in tears when I got the message:

Google Adwords Editor has stopped working

My reaction:

WTF? Are you kidding me! I have a whole day ahead building Adword campaigns and making my super ninja tweaks to optimise accounts, this CANT BE HAPPENING!

If you have seen the above dreaded error message, no doubt you will be feeling the pain I did.

But there is a sneaky and simple fix that will let you get back on your merry Adwords way.

Here is how to fix it:

• Go to http://www.sqlite.org/download.html
• Download and unzip sqlite-dll-win32-x86-3070500.zip
• Copy the two files from the zip folder to the xulrunner folder in the Google Adwords Editor directory, eg, C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google AdWords Editor\xulrunner\
• Run Adwords Editor and it should be back and running

If not, uninstall the editor using Program Add/Remove. Make sure the folder has been deleted.

Download and install the latest version of Adwords Editor – http://www.google.com/intl/en/adwordseditor/

Now copy the files from the zip folder as above!
