Twitter Off Facebook
If you have been reading some of my previous posts you would know that I have become a pretty big fan of Twitter.
The world’s largest social media network, Facebook, have also expressed interest in the micro blogging system.
Unfortunately for Facebook, they could not come up with a proposal that would tweet all the way to the bank for the Twitter family. A reported US$500million did not do it for them, in over-inflated Facebook stock that is.
Twitter estimated the real value of the stock offer at approximately US$5million, quite a variation from Facebook’s perceived value to the offer. (source)
Unlucky Facebook, maybe next time some cold hard cash or stock options at actual market value might get them excited.

@ Greg – Only Facebook can answer that question. I guess with their quick success and increasing capital investments from giants like Microsoft they think that their stock will be worth that, if not more in the near future.
